Capital IQ Research Associate Interview Experience

Positive Yes, and I accepted
Date: February 2009
Duration: 2 Day
"The interview process has 4 steps -
1st step is an IQ test
2nd step is a written test. Questions include definitions of mergers and acuisitions and more finance/investment questions.
3rd step: a 1:1 interview with middle management. Basic questions revolve around finance and investment. You need to brush up your financial knowledge a little before the interview
If you clear the first 3 rounds then you have an interview with the top management team. They are more interested in knowing about you. Knowledge about the company is required and you need to know whats happening in the news.
Last round is with HR. Very general questions. If you reach this round you are more or less going to get the job."

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Strenghs: When I'm working on a project, I don't want just to meet deadlines. Rather, I prefer to complete the project well ahead of schedule. Weakness: Being organized wasn't my strongest point, but I implemented a time management system that really helped my organization skills.
